KOREA: Day 6 &7: Shinsadong/ Se7en's Restaurant/ Ehwa Univ./ STREET FOOD

HELLO~~ Yesh, so yesterday I was being lazy again so I decided to combine day 6 and 7 together hehehe (actually I'm still quite lazy and tired today, but if I don't catch up, I'm going to slack even more @.@)

OK so day 6:

LOL still in a daze about meeting Exo...(and still killing ourselves over how little we prepared and our stunned...ness....and feeling this mixed emotion when we watched their live perf later that night on our comps...ARGHHHHH....I might develop this love-hate relationship with them xD Love cuz...well...LOL....yeah, and hate cuz we might love them too much xDDD ARGH)

T^T

WAI DOES THIS HURT SO MUCH

LOL sigh

Anyways

Day 6:

So on day 6, we went to Garosu-gil in Shinsadong (mainly for se7en's restaurant, but we decided to also stop by Han river and Hangang Park)

Everyone is dressed so nicely here T-T And it just so happens that I choose this day to slack off on dressing up....great =____=

But seriously, everyone just has that sort of celebrity-glow to them here @.@ ARGH

Oh and speaking of celebrities, here we actually saw the actress that played the CEO in "Shut Up, Flower Boy" as she got into a taxi. o.o

LOL, well Lillian did. I didn't even watch the drama so I couldn't recognize her, but Lillian said that she was the actress and..well yeah.xD

But I gotta admit, celebrities just look different. They legit glow.

Just like how Exo did...and Ukiss....

ARGHHH....

(I wanna glow too T^T)

And here's a large Forever 21 store :p We didn't go in ('cuz we wanted to save money LOL), but it looked like it was full of awesome goodness @.@

Because we needed wifi to find se7en's restaurant and where Hangang park is (lack of preparation the night before due to still being stunned about Exo), we stopped at Starbucks.

^4300 won. Similar price to the ones in Canada.

Then we wandered around a random department store (food area)

 And OMG macaroons!!!!

Ok you can't really see it very well, but there were SO many choices for flavours @.@ *PUKES RAINBOWS*

Ofc, we restrained ourselves from buying (it was expensive...as expected from typical good department stores)  =____=

Then we wandered again (we love wandering...I bet we lost lotsa weight already considering we're always trying to save money and not eating that much but walking around the whole day and etc)

The weather was so awesome T^T It was warm, but with lotsa cool breezes~

The sky was so blue~~

And walked on this bridge

Did I mention the weather was amazing?

'Cuz it was.

Han river: the place for all the sad/dramatic/break-up/ revealed secrets scenes in dramas :D

And lookeee!! The exercise thingies that appear in all the dramas as well! Hehe~~~

Hi ajusshi!

More Han river <3

So many people were jogging, biking, stretching, picnic-ing, playing soccer, frisbee-ing, ETCETC, it made me feel so lazy T-T

If I live here in Korea, I will for sure go take walks around here after dinner everyday~

It's such a nice place to just sit on the grass or on one of the benches underneath a tent just to think and ponder about life xD

Or ...to cry while drinking soju.

:D

Whichever works.

I'd prob even wake up early to jog here (maybe...)

Sigh.

You can just keep on walking forevvvvvvvvvvverrrrr <3

LOL, caught camwhoring :D

Ok, so we walked for a long time and ended up sitting on a bench under one of the many tents~

There were mini food menus on all the benches taped to a small magnet (for weight so the wind doesn't blow it away). Ajushhis and ajummas were walking and handing it around as well. What you can do is basically call the number and get the food delivered to you @.@ You can like eat meals by Han river @.@ Without even having to move an inch @.@

Sigh.

We would've totally done it.

Except we have no phones (well no phones that work in Korea).

Aigooo.

That means we'd need to walk ALLLLL the way back sometime....

But first, we just basically sat there for 2-ish hours chatting about life, relationships, marriage, boys, school, careers, ideal types, kpop, etc

And this was the view we were facing~

Hey lookee, it's a dog~~

With dyed fur! ^-^ Reminds me somewhat of Spudgy (simon and martina :D)

Heh.

After a while, this group of high school (?) boys came to play soccer. Man, they were all so fit and lean lol. Everyone is so....healthy and youthful!

Realizing that we were probably noonas to them...we felt extremely old T^T

Finally, we got hungry, and decided to leave to find se7en's restaurant!

More pictures from us walking back~ There were lots of high-class restaurants like these by the river. In fact, we might've even passed by the place where Khuntoria had their wedding pictures taken :o

It's so preetty and nice T^T

And lotsa couples!

JELLY

SO SO SO SO JELLY

>:(

Hmph.

And so we walked

and walked

and walked

for about an hour

-dies-

AND WE FOUND IT!

It's on the second floor and the staff were super super SUPER enthusiastic and welcoming (good job se7en, you trained them well xD)

Famous cut-out that Big Bang and lotsa other celebrities (oh, and simon and martina too! ^^)  took pictures with~~

We did too, but I AM NOT UPLOADING DUE TO US NOT BEING DRESSED UP :D

Cute menu hehehehe. Hing~

Signatures from se7en and Big Bang. There were lots more on the walls, but it felt awkward taking pictures, esp. because they were behind other customers and yeah....

:P

And omgsh, Lillian chose this seat that made our dinner super awkward. It was RIGHT BY the place where the servers stand and...oh gosh, we were like literally inches away from them =___=

LOL

So we were too wimpy to try se7en's special (SUPER SUPER SPICY), so we settled for the regular.

IT WAS STILL SPICY xD

But manageable!

After we scarfed that down (IT WAS DELICIOUSSSS BY THE WAY. GJ SE7EN!!!), we ordered some rice and mixed it in with the leftover sauce and seasonings like we saw other people did. THAT WAS SO GOOD TOO!!!!!

Total meal cost us around 10,000 won each. Not as cheap as a lot of other restaurants, but standard pricing for back home in Canada xD

But hey, it was really good, so it was worth it :3

And thattttt basically marked the end of the day~

Ok, it seemed like we barely did anything, but trust me...all that walking and subway-ing tires the HECK out of you~ @.@

DAY 7:

Today we went to Ehwa Women's University (will refer to as Edae from now on) and shopped and ate there~ SO MANY PEOPLE!!

SO MANY GIRLS (DUHHHRRR)

SO MANY ACCESSORIES, MAKEUP, CLOTHES STORES, STREET FOOD!!

SO MANY WELL DRESSED PEOPLES!!

(thank goodness I dressed up today @.@)

Lillian wanted to cut her hair (and well she had literally hundreds of choices. There were so many salons!) but before we did that, we stopped at a small waffle and drinks cafe~

We both ordered blueberry ice cream waffles (4,000 won each~) Yeap, cafes are expensive...but yet we keep coming back xDD

After eating and writing our own sticky notes to put on the wall, we went to Juno Hair Salon and Lillian got her hair cut while I wasted time for about an hour.

Her cut was about 30,000 won, but she got a discount cuz she applied for this card thing and it ended up being 25,000 won ^^

CHEAP! And it was a good job!

The hairstylist was super nice and she actually sat down with both of us and discussed what Lillian wanted in detail. She was super nice and very patient~

She gave us both green teas and the place where I waited for her was very very nice heh. There was an ipad and a laptop there for use~ There was also a small bag with iphone/ipod chargers in case you ran out of battery~

And ofc, lots of magazines!

:)

Satisfied :D

After that, we went to the university and took some pictures there~

It was so prettttttyyyyyyyyy @.@

See me? ^-^

Andddd inside~

^ theatre inside! :O

AND THENNN

after lots and lots of makeup and skincare shopping

(what I bought~)
Total comes out to be around 60,000 won~

IT WAS STREET FOOD TIMEEEEE

We were so so so excited heeheee (mainly because we had been anticipating street food from all the way back to when we first planned this trip, and now we were finally going to have it!!)

First, we bought this chicken cup thang (it had a super long line-up and so it must've been good) AND OH BOY..

IT WAS AMAZING

LITERALLY I THINK I FELL IN LOVE

THAT WAS..

SO GOOD

OMGSH

LOL

IDK WHAT THAT AJUSSHI'S RECIPE IS...

BUT DANG...

I can understand the line-up now @.@

There were 3 sizes.

Small was 1,000 won
Big was 2,000 won

Jumbo was 5,000 won.

And we each got a small.

ONLY FOR 1,000 won! (if you take the exchange rate into account, it sums up to LESS THAN 1 DOLLAR!!!)

And mind you, this ajusshi doesn't just fill the cup, he FILLS IT! He like PACKS IT!

We saw him loading up other people's large and jumbo cups and gosh..he just KEEPS on piling on MORE. Everytime we thought that he'd stop, he KEPT ON PUTTING MORE xD

AHHHH, ajushhi, saranghae xDDD

Then we went to eat some soondae and deokbokki~~

We sorta wanted twigim and the mini kimbaps as well, but we knew we probably wouldn't be able to finish it~

These street booths, although small and a bit crampy, are very very complete.

There's napkins, cups, free water, soup, utensils, everything~

First time trying soondae~

Mmmmm....goooooooddd :DDD

And the deokbokki was really good too!!!

Very much different from the ones sold in Canada heh :)

The soondae was 3,500 won and the deokbokki was 2,500 won. Together it was 6,000 won and since we shared, it was 3,000 won each~

So in total, we both spent 4,000 won each already on chicken, soondae, and deokbokki (less than 4 dollars) and WE WERE ALREADY PRETTY FULL!!!

We were full on not even 4 dollars worth of food....

That's amazing.

Certainly impossible back home xD

But ofc, we craved dessert.

Heodeoks!!!

They were 2,000 won for 3~ And so we got 3~

So we each got 1 and a half, but Lillian was so full that she gave me her half and so I ended eating two full ones @.@

SO FULL!!!

Now, we had spent approx. 5,000 won in total on food (less than 5 bucks) and WE WERE BURSTING AT THE SEAMS xD

But anyways, the heodeok was REALLY GOOD!!

Black sesame and cinnamon and sugar inside~ All warm and crunchy <3 <3

I WAS IN LOVE AGAIN xD

ARGH.

TOO MANY GOOD FOODS!

OKOK.

Anyways, after that we just subway-ed back to our guesthouse~

We went back early today (9pm) because tomorrow we need to wake up at 6~ Why?

HEHEHEH SECRET.

Well...

It might not even happen.

SIGH, we'll try our best.

But Sunday will happen for sure!!

HAHAHHA I AM DYING FROM EXCITEMENT.

I AM GOING TO HAVE MANY LOVE-HATE RELATIONSHIPS AFTER THIS WEEKEND.

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  1. Totally digging the korean cuisine. Does Se7en have another food chain wherein they do meal delivery services?
